Cherry Pie

Size: 15" diameter.  One of my most prized creations!  This piece reminds me of a lattice topped cherry pie!  This piece was a challenge to build, so many small pieces of glass and multiple curves! 
 
This piece changes colour depending on the time of day!  The centre petals have been created using rare, antique glasss that is no longer available called "Grenadine Red".   Grenadine Red is a deeper shade of red and the glass is transparent when lit from behind.  When light strikes the front, beautiful definition of ripples and textures along with the iridescent coating appear!  Magic!  The clear glass also has an iridized finish that catches the light and creates a rainbow of colour.   
 
All the glass in this piece has been hand cut, and created using the lead came method.   Signed and dated with a brass plaque.  Hanging hardware included.
